I have a cub cadet 2518. It has 790 hours on it. Its one tough tractor. It handles a 40" Berco 2-stage compact snowblower with ease. Great reliablity if you take care of it. ....

I just got a new 2554 last SEPT.
Got it with a tiller dirt blade and AG back tires.
Cost about 2500 less than a Comparable JD equipped the same.
It offered me the biggest bang for my buck.

The lower priced Cadet's are often bought because of the payment not the payback. The 2500 has been a good unit and has not been a regular in the shop. The lower priced 1000's had some issues with drives and when corrected have also been a good unit so far but they will still never be a tractor in any sence of imagination. They do a good job of mowing the lawn as they were intended to but not as a utility tractor like the heavier built 2500 series. ....
